NSWCSN Workforce Development Manager Sarah Box has been busy responding to requests from NSW high schools for teaching infrastructure to help them deliver digital curricula.
Suzanne, above left, is the Head Teacher of the TAS faculty at Belmont High. She has received a class kit of micro:bit GO kits to use in the school’s teaching and learning programs. Suzanne and her team look forward to their students having a greater variety of resources this year!
Trudy from Chester Hill High School has an absolute wealth of STEM/iSTEM knowledge, and is passionate about connecting real-world experiences to her teaching practices. Chester Hill High School received new LEGO mindstorm products, adding to their collection and promoting curiosity.
Swansea High School Principal Robyn Leggatt met with workforce development manager Sarah Box to receive a class set of micro:bits supporting the new digital technologies syllabus. Micro:bits provide endless creative possibilities – students can create games, cameras and musical instruments just to name a few.
NSWCSN is excited to support and watch their students grow and engage with the new resources.Adam at Fort Street High School was super excited to receive multi-chargers and sensors. Adam is inspiring and enthusiastic about providing his students with hands-on activities that provides authenticity within their teaching and learning environments. Jackie Head Teacher Science at Willoughby Girls’ High received a Power Anchor. Designed for teachers by teachers the product doesn’t look like much but encourages problem solving, designing and evaluation skills while incorporating strong maths and physics principles.
Designability website does the hard work by linking all Power Anchor projects to the Australian Curriculum. Darren Head Teacher TAS at the Hunter School of Performing Arts is passionate about educating his students and excited to provide them with greater access to the LEGO mindstorm products.
