Cecil Hills High gets a visit from UTS Professor

Prof. Doan Hoang presents school with a PowerAnchor to support Cyber-STEM teaching

The more that school students see scientists and others who are successful in STEM careers, the easier it will be for them to choose those pathways in their own lives.

Last week, Professor Doan Hoang from the UTS School of Electrical and Data Engineering, put theory into practice when he visited Cecil Hills High School to present Head TAS Teacher Leo Miller with a PowerAnchor to help support cyber-STEM teaching.

Professor Hoang also met with the careers advisor, librarian, principal and a range of staff members.

Lee Miller, Head Teacher, TAS, said: “It was refreshing to meet someone from the university who was willing to help create links with our school. A big thank you for the PowerAnchor, my Engineering teacher will start using it this week!”
